Physical Wellness Improves Overall Health!!

Having physical wellness is essential to achieving good overall health. Being well physically involves performing regular exercise and physical activity, eating a healthy diet, getting adequate rest and relaxation and practicing consistent hygiene routines.

When we are physically healthy, our bodies run efficiently and we are able to address the other aspects of wellness.

There is a direct connection between physical and emotional health. What we eat how much we exercise and how much rest we get has a tremendous effect on our emotions. Anxiety, moodiness and depression are all linked to our physical well being. Achieving physical health has been known to improve these conditions dramatically.

To be physically well we must explore all aspects of our well being. Many people gain spiritual wellness while doing physical activities. Tai Chi, Yoga, playing sports, horseback riding and gardening can be spiritual practices. Doing these physical activities with others can also improve our social wellness as we build healthier relationships. Getting exercise by hiking, surfing, or bicycling outside increases our environmental awareness as well.

Avoiding the use of tobacco products, and not abusing alcohol or drugs is another key factor in our physical wellbeing. The abuse of these substances can create serious health risks. High blood pressure, emphysema, cancer, stroke, diabetes, cirrhosis of the liver and a long list of other degenerative diseases can all be linked to substance abuse. The progress we make in the other areas of wellness can be blocked because of addiction.

Our body is our temple and we must treat it that way. Maintaining The health of our body gives us a solid foundation for creating healthy and complete lives. Being physically well is the our natural state. Create and follow a consistent physical fitness plan. It will give you clarity, focus, balance and harmony.
