Wellness Wheel: Keeping Our Lives in Balance
The wellness wheel shows the 7 areas of wellness that make up a harmonious life. The seven “spokes” that make up the wheel include; Physical Health, Emotional Well- Being, Career, Spirituality, Financial, Social Network, and Intellectual . Our overall health and wellness depends on how well we pay attention to all of these aspects of life. Under or over prioritizing in any area give us an unbalanced wheel. Physical wellness: Taking care of our bodies by eating nutritious foods, exercising, taking dietary supplements and getting plenty of rest is a must. Treat your body like a temple and give it only the best of everything. Emotional Well- Being:We can gain control of our emotions through the process of personal development. Knowing how to reduce stress, anxiety and irritability
leads to good emotional health.
It is also important to make time for recreation. Have some fun! Career: The sense of fulfillment that we receive from our work give us a good outlook on life in general. Our work has a direct connection to our level of self worth and satisfaction. Contributing in a work environment that accommodates others in a healthy way improves our wellness. Spirituality: Belief in a power greater than ourselves gives us something to hold onto in both good and bad times. Being spiritual enhances the connection between your mind and body. Prayer and meditation are spiritual disciplines that are uplifting and positive. Financial: Being in control of our finances gives us a peace of mind that is essential to wellness. The mindset of abundance and prosperity is an attractive force that brings more of the same. How you handle your finances is a reflection of your self image. Social Network: The quality of our relationships with others plays a big part in our wellness. Everything we accomplish in life comes through people. We contribute to our community through healthy relationships. Intellectual: Expanding your knowledge makes you a better person. Being mentally stimulated is exercise for the brain. Developing your intellect helps you to reach your full potential. Including all these aspects of the

into your day can insure that you have a happy and well-balanced life.
